Legal and General Embark on the Journey to Lean

Legal & General logo

Legal and General, who offer home and life insurance, investment opportunities and pension advice have signed up with Maxim to embark on the first step of the journey to Lean and Business Excellence. Initially we will be taking a selected number of employees through a Lean Awareness training event that will be closely linked to one of their business processes. The training is designed to show how they can apply classic Lean tools such as 5S, Visual Management, Process Flow Analysis and Process Capability to identify where there is waste in the system and what they can do to improve the current state to enhance both business and individual performance. We will then be exploring with Legal and General the best route to move the initiative forward with options being the EAL Business Improvement Techniques (B-IT) NVQ Certificate, which utilises work based projects to apply the techniques, or ILM Endorsed Awards which we will customise to meet Legal and General’s exact requirements.
