Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels

Course Summary

As a result of the implementation of The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98), the Abrasive Wheels Regulations have been repealed. However, the potential dangers arising from the use of abrasive wheels still exist, as taken under the previous Abrasive Wheels Regulations, is necessary. By complying with the requirements of PUWER 98, in association with information contained in the Health and Safety Executives Guidance Book HS (G) 17, “Safety in the Use of Abrasive Wheels”, legal duties will be fulfilled. We have developed this programme to provide delegates with sufficient knowledge to comply with current legislative requirements.

Teaching and Assessment

This course combines group discussions and practical exercises. Candidates will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.

There are no set entry requirements for this course although a good command of the English language is essential.
